Old Apples and certificates
After fighting with KeyChain and Safari for too long (don’t ask how long) to install a certificate, I ran across this little beauty: CerttoolGUI. Here’s the scene: you’ve got a box with 10.3.x and Safari 1.3.x on it. Docs all over say to import the certificate using KeyChain. KeyChain dutifully imports the cert and Safari resolutely ignores it. Bah. So go do a man certtool or download CerttoolGUI and get on with things. The cert has to be installed in the system location or no dice. Apparently Camino reads from the same place Safari does, so this may help those users out as well.
